Preparing for your notary appointment

However, we understand that it’s not everyday that you have a need for professional services for documents and we have provided several tips and resources below to make the best use of the services from Certified Signatures.

What to know

  • Please arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time

  • Have all documents complete and ready for signature

  • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID

  • Consult with an attorney to determine if signature witnesses are needed. If yes, bring witnesses with you.

Items You’ll Need To Bring For Your Meeting:

  • Document(s) that requires notarization

  • Identification – Remember, you must bring a form of valid identification when meeting a mobile notary. Forms of valid identification may include driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, and military card.

  • Cash or mobile payment method – acceptable payment methods are cash, cashapp, venmo or Zelle. Credit cards are not accepted at this time. Personal checks are not accepted.

  • Black or blue ink pen (optional)

Things You’ll Need When Meeting Your Loan Signing Agent:

  • Loan Package (If sent directly from lender)

  • Identification for each borrower – Forms of valid identification may include driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, and military card

  • Income Verification – W2, SSI, Award Letters, or Unemployment Statements

  • Bank Statements – A minimum of 2 months worth of statements

  • Tax Returns – Most recent two filed returns

  • Mortgage Statement & Insurance – Current or most recent copy
